Learning Goals and Teaching Approach
Learning Goals (EYFS and NAEYC):
The learning goals at Kidz Village International Kindergarten are rooted in a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with both the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) of The British Curriculum and the latest internationally recognized research on children’s development and learning. This dual approach ensures that our educational framework is not only aligned with established standards but also remains responsive to cutting-edge insights. By integrating EYFS standards, we provide a robust foundation that encompasses every aspect of a child’s growth, including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains.
Furthermore, the incorporation of current and internationally endorsed research from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) enriches our assessment practices. This research-backed assessment instrument empowers our teachers to make informed evaluations of each child’s progress. It enables educators to create personalized learning paths that cater to individual needs, strengths, and interests. Project Approach:
The driving vehicle for our teaching practice at Kidz Village is The Project Approach as developed by Dr.Chard & her colleague Dr.Katz. The Project Approach refers to a set of teaching strategies that enable teachers to guide students through in–depth studies of real world topics. Projects have a complex but flexible framework within which teaching and learning are seen as interactive processes. Through implementing the project approach students feel highly motivated and actively involved in their own learning. Students are encouraged to question, investigate, work independently and collaborate which leads them to produce high quality work and develop critical thinking skills.

Food and Nutrition
At Kidz Village our school snacks and lunches are carefully planned and prepared to ensure our students are provided with healthy and balanced meals essential to support growth and development.
We offer a diverse menu which includes a variety of healthy eastern and western dishes, with fresh seasonal fruit served with each meal. We understand that children may sometimes be reluctant to try new foods which is why we plan snack and lunch time as a daily activity which everyone looks forward to and enjoys as a happy and social occasion with the students and teachers eating together. We prepare all of our food daily on school premises using produce grown on our Kidz Village farm and fresh local ingredients which not only retain the most nutrients due to short distances traveled, but also lessen our carbon footprint on the environment.
